Glidewell Holiday Party 2024

The annual Glidewell Holiday Party always helps us end the year on a high note. This spellbinding event features PCE lighting and other production across four large areas at the OC Fairgrounds.

Guests entered the Glidewell Holiday Party through the OC Promenade, where Chauvet Ovation B-2805FC lights and ETC ColorSource Spot LED Leko-mounted gobos created a snazzy red ambience to go with the red carpet deployed down the center of the room. As they entered, guests were treated to a message from Glidewell brass on an 86” LG monitor.

From this red-carpet entrance, guests continued into the Santa Ana Pavilion, outfitted with Christmas decorations and some more lighting design from PCE. Once again, Chauvet Ovation B-2805FC, Chauvet COLORado Batten 72, and Chauvet COLORband PiX IP lights helped illuminate the walls, while ETC Source 4 Leko and ETC ColorSource Spot Leko fixtures projected custom gobos throughout the space. Pioneer Pro XPRS102 Powered Speakers helped bring the event audio to this section of the venue.

Inside the Huntington Beach Building, a stage for live band karaoke immediately caught the eye. Here, Chauvet Rogue Outcast 2X Wash and Martin MAC Allure Profile lights brought some dynamism to the performance area, while Elation SIXPAR 100 RGBAW+UV LED PAR, Chauvet EZpar 64 RGBA Battery Powered LED, and SeaBlast 2.0 lights helped decorate the room. A PCE Lighting Designer controlled the action from a High End Systems Road Hog 4 lighting console. Audio in the Huntington Beach Building came courtesy of QSC KLA-12 Active Line Array Speakers, JBL VRX918SP 18" Powered Subs, and Pioneer Pro XPRS102 Powered 10" Speakers. A PCE audio engineer mixed the festivities from a Yamaha CL5 Digital Audio Mixer, while performers took advantage of a Shure ULX-D wireless microphone system and Shure PSM 1000 IEMs. Finally, some AV Franklin Screens, Panasonic PT-RZ790 Laser Projectors, Panasonic PTZ Cameras, and a Blackmagic ATEM 1 M/E Constellation HD Switcher added a video component.

PCE built the event’s mainstage in The Costa Mesa Building. This stage (and the surrounding room) featured the most intricate lighting design. All in all, we used Martin MAC Quantum Profile, Martin MAC Aura PXL, Martin Atomic 3000 Strobe, Chauvet Rogue Outcast 2X Wash, ETC ColorSource Spot, and SeaBlast 2.0 lights, controlled via a grandMA3 light console. Audio consisted of L-Acoustics KARA 2-way Line Array speakers, RCF SUB8006-AS Subwoofers, QSC KLA-12 Active Line Array Speaker, QSC KW122 Speakers, Shure ULX-D and SLX-D wireless microphones, and Shure PSM 900 IEMs. PCE audio engineers put two Yamaha QL5 audio consoles to work, one at front of house, and one for monitors. The mainstage also used some PCE video, namely AV Stumpfl projector screens, a Christie Boxer 4K30 Projector, Panasonic PTZ Cameras, and a Blackmagic ATEM 1 M/E Constellation switcher.
