Awaken Church EMERGE Men's Conference 2024

Every year, the EMERGE Men's Conference brings thousands of male Awaken Church members to Campo, California for a massive, multi-day event. The EMERGE Men's Conference means a weekend of celebration, brotherhood, worship, and leadership training. A massive tent serves as the nucleus for the event, and PCE helped transform that tent into a production powerhouse, providing lighting, rigging, staging, audio, video, power, and more for this inspiring event.

Inside the tent, PCE created a theater-in-the-round style setup with a truss box stage (built from Steeldeck) in the middle of the space. Seating for the Awaken faithful extended out in two opposite directions, with another truss structure positioned halfway to the back of the tent on each side. This secondary structure housed additional audio, video walls, and some Vari-Lite VL3600 lighting fixtures.

On the main stage, several different lighting fixtures combined to create myriad looks. These included Chauvet Maverick Storm 1 Spot, Chauvet Rogue Outcast 2X Wash, Chauvet Rogue R3 Beam, and Chauvet Color STRIKE M lights. An Awaken Church lighting designer used a grandMA 3 light to run the show, while an Ultratec Radiance Tour Hazer created the atmosphere needed to make the lights pop.

L-Acoustics Kara II line array speakers blasted the audio to everyone in the tent, with L-Acoustics KS28 subwoofers filling in the gaps. Awaken Church mixed the show (which included both live speakers and live music) with an Allen & Heath dLive S7000 console. A second console, an Allen & Heath dLive S5000, sat on the side of the stage to control the musicians' in-ear monitors.

Four Absen Polaris PL2.5 conveyed visuals to the guests in the tent, two on either side of the main stage, and two on the auxiliary truss structures. A Blackmagic ATEM 1 M/E Production Studio 4K allowed the Awaken team to build a recorded and streaming version of the conference in real time.
