Awaken Church Cherish Women's Conference

Awaken Church secured a gargantuan rental package for the dazzling 2024 Cherish Women's Conference at the Marriott Marquis in San Diego. This event brought women from Awaken's congregation all over the world to the hotel for a weekend of prayer, ministry, and fun. While the event dominated the entire hotel, the Pacific Ballroom—and all the PCE production gear inside—served as the centerpiece.

In the middle of the ballroom, we built a Steeldeck stage that became a theater-in-the-round style focal point for the proceedings (which featured speeches by ministers and several musical performances).

Above and around the stage, Awaken used dozens of PCE lights, including Chauvet Rogue Outcast 2X Wash, Elation Proteus Maximus Profile, Robe MegaPointe, Martin MAC Aura PXL, and ETC ColorSource Leko fixtures. Around the perimeter of the room, numerous Chauvet Freedom Flex H4 uplights helped set the mood. Our team also helped mount additional lighting on Genie ST-25 towers at the sides of the ballroom. Awaken lighting designers conducted the show via our grandMA3 light console.

For audio, Awaken harnessed an L-Acoustics system with a Kara II line array and SB28 subwoofers. These ran through two Allen & Heath audio consoles: a dLive S7000 and a dLive S5000.

Video equipment included our workhorse Blackmagic URSA Broadcast G2 cameras, a Blackmagic ATEM 2M/E and a Blackmagic ATEM 1 M/E Advanced Panel. These helped display video content on a series of 86" and 50" Samsung monitors.

Finally, Awaken Church put some PCE effects into play. An Ultratec Radiance Touring System created atmosphere, and Antari SCN-600 Scent Machines provided a fresh aroma for thousands of guests.

Earlier in 2024, PCE helped Awaken Church with a similar rental package for their EMERGE Men's Conference, so getting a chance to work on the women's version a few month's later felt absolutely wonderful.
